Best Korean Cars to Import by Budget (2026): From $5,000 to $50,000

What each budget buys in the Korean auction: our picks by price band — the most requested cars in the Gulf, Africa and Latin America, and why.

Under $5,000: pure value

Hyundai Avante/Elantra (2013–2016), Kia K3, Kia Morning, Hyundai Accent. Reliable cars with parts available everywhere. Expect 100,000–150,000 km. Ideal for dealers selling in volume or for economical daily use.

$5,000–10,000: family size

Hyundai Sonata LF/DN8 (2016–2019), Kia K5, Kia Sportage QL, Hyundai Tucson TL, older Kia Carnival. High trims with cameras and screens start here. Sonata and Sportage are the most requested cars in the Gulf and Iraq.

$10,000–20,000: recent and near-premium

Hyundai Grandeur IG (2018–2021) — the single most available model in the entire Korean auction, Kia K7/K8, Hyundai Santa Fe TM, Kia Sorento MQ4, Kia Carnival KA4 (the top choice for large families). Three-to-six-year-old cars in excellent condition.

$20,000–35,000: Genesis and the Germans

Genesis G70/G80/GV70 (2019–2022) — luxury at mid-size prices, Hyundai Palisade (the most requested SUV out of Korea), Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series in full Korean specification.

$35,000–50,000 and up

Genesis G90/GV80, Mercedes S-Class, BMW X5/X7, Porsche Cayenne and Macan, Land Rover. Here we recommend container shipping with marine insurance and an extra independent inspection.

Hybrids and EVs

Korea is a strong market for hybrids (Sonata, K5 and Sorento hybrids) and EVs (Ioniq 5/6, EV6, Tesla). Before buying, check that your country supports EV charging and allows EV imports — we verify this for you.
