Tucson generations in the Korean auction

Most listings are the TL (2015–2020) and the NX4 (2020 onwards, facelifted in 2024), the generation with the parametric grille and hidden daytime lights. The NX4 is also the Tucson sold in the Gulf.

Korean NX4 engines: a 1.6 T-GDI petrol, a 2.0 CRDi diesel and a 1.6 turbo hybrid. Gulf Tucsons use the 2.0 and 2.5 petrol engines, which Korea does not sell, so the 1.6 turbo petrol is the practical Gulf choice; the hybrid is the most common private-owner version in Korea.

What to check before you bid

Tucsons are private family cars in Korea, so fleet history is rare. Check the panel section of the inspection report for front bumper and fender replacements, and confirm the trim: the Inspiration trim carries the 10.25-inch screens, the digital cluster and the full SmartSense package.

The 1.6 T-GDI uses a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox; the diesel and the hybrid use conventional automatics. The report lists the gearbox and whether the car is 2WD or HTRAC AWD.

Shipping a Tucson

The Tucson is a compact SUV, taller than a sedan, so the sedan-size freight rate in our calculator is a lower bound: ask us for the exact RoRo or container quote to your port with the listing.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a used Hyundai Tucson in Korea?

Currently $1,304 to $65,217 in the auction (before shipping and customs), depending on year, mileage and trim.

How much does it cost to import a Hyundai Tucson from Korea to Saudi Arabia?

Landed cost = auction price + Korean export fees and inland transport + sea freight to Jeddah or Dammam + our commission. It excludes Saudi Arabia's customs duties, taxes and port clearance, which your customs broker handles on arrival. The calculator's freight rates are for a sedan-size car; larger vehicles such as SUVs and vans cost more to ship because freight is charged by volume. Use the import cost calculator for an instant estimate, then we send you a final written quote.

Calculate import cost
How long does shipping a Hyundai Tucson from Korea to Saudi Arabia take?

Sailing from Busan to Jeddah or Dammam takes about 25–35 days depending on the shipping line, plus 3–5 days for export de-registration and preparation in Korea and the clearance days at the arrival port. You can ship RoRo (cheaper and faster to load) or in a container (more protection).

Importing from Korea to Saudi Arabia: full guide
Does a Korean-market Hyundai Tucson meet Saudi Arabia's import requirements?

That depends on the specific car and on the rules in force when you import: requirements such as vehicle age and specification differ by country and change over time. So before you pay, we confirm the current requirements for the exact car you choose, and we prepare the export certificate, commercial invoice, bill of lading and inspection report your customs broker uses to clear it on arrival.

Can I inspect a Hyundai Tucson before buying?

Yes — we send the official inspection report and all photos, and an additional independent inspection can be arranged before payment.

Which Tucson engine for the Gulf?

The 1.6 T-GDI petrol: Korea does not sell the Gulf 2.0/2.5 petrol engines, and the 1.6 turbo is a petrol engine Hyundai dealers in the Gulf already service on other models. The diesel is cheaper in Korea but harder to fuel and service in most Gulf countries.

Does the Korean Tucson have Android Auto / CarPlay?

Yes on the NX4 and on later TL cars; the built-in navigation maps are Korea-only, so phone mirroring is how most buyers use it in the Gulf.
