K3 is the Korean name for the Cerato

Kia sold this compact sedan in Korea as the K3 and abroad, including the Gulf, as the Cerato (or Forte in America). The auction carries the YD (2012–2018) and the BD (2018 onwards, facelifted in 2021). The K3 Koup and the five-door K3 Euro have their own pages.

The BD uses a 1.6 petrol (the Smartstream 1.6 MPI with an IVT gearbox after 2021) and a 1.6 turbo in the GT. Gulf Ceratos use 1.6 and 2.0 petrol engines, so the 1.6 MPI is the direct match for parts and service.

What to check before you bid

Like the Avante, the K3 is used by Korean rental fleets: the inspection report shows the usage history, and we flag fleet cars before you bid. Check the panel section for front bumper and fender repairs.

The Noblesse and Signature trims bring the larger screen, the smart key and the driver-assistance package that Gulf buyers look for.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a used Kia K3 in Korea?

Most Kia K3 cars in the Korean auction right now (80% of listings) are priced between $3,696 and $13,986, with a median of $8,326 — half cost $8,326 or less. These are auction prices in Korea before shipping and customs; the exact price depends on year, mileage and trim.

Is the K3 the same car as the Cerato?

Yes. K3 is its Korean-market name and Cerato the name buyers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf know it by — it is the same model. Korean-market equipment can differ from Gulf-spec cars, so check each car's specification in the inspection report and photos we send before you buy.

How much does it cost to import a Kia K3 from Korea to Saudi Arabia?

As an indicative example at our calculator rates for a sedan-size car (updated 2026-07), a Kia K3 at the median auction price of $8,326 comes to about $10,676 to Jeddah on the Red Sea or $10,476 to Dammam on the Arabian Gulf. That covers the car, Korean export fees, sea freight and our service commission; it excludes Saudi Arabia's customs duties, taxes and port clearance, which your customs broker handles on arrival. Enter any car's price in the import cost calculator, then we send you a final written quote on WhatsApp.

Calculate import cost
How long does shipping a Kia K3 from Korea to Saudi Arabia take?

Sailing from Busan to Jeddah or Dammam takes about 25–35 days depending on the shipping line, plus 3–5 days for export de-registration and preparation in Korea and the clearance days at the arrival port. You can ship RoRo (cheaper and faster to load) or in a container (more protection).

Importing from Korea to Saudi Arabia: full guide
Does a Korean-market Kia K3 meet Saudi Arabia's import requirements?

That depends on the specific car and on the rules in force when you import: requirements such as vehicle age and specification differ by country and change over time. So before you pay, we confirm the current requirements for the exact car you choose, and we prepare the export certificate, commercial invoice, bill of lading and inspection report your customs broker uses to clear it on arrival.

Can I inspect a Kia K3 before buying?

Yes — we send the official inspection report and all photos, and an additional independent inspection can be arranged before payment.

Is the Kia K3 the same as the Cerato?

Yes: K3 is the Korean name of the car sold in the Gulf as the Kia Cerato. The body and most parts are shared; the engine line-up differs slightly by market.

Which K3 engine for the Gulf?

The 1.6 MPI petrol: it matches the Gulf Cerato engine and is the most common private-owner K3 in Korea.
