Avante is the Korean name for the Elantra
In Korea the Elantra has always been sold as the Avante, and the auction lists it that way. The listings are mostly the AD (2015–2020) and the CN7 (2020 onwards, refreshed in 2023), the sharp-edged generation that also reached the Gulf as the Elantra.
Korean CN7 engines: a 1.6 MPI Smartstream petrol, a 1.6 LPG, a 1.6 hybrid, and the N Line 1.6 turbo; the Avante N uses a 2.0 turbo. Gulf Elantras use the 1.6 and 2.0 petrol engines, so the 1.6 MPI is the closest match for parts and service.
What to check before you bid
Like the Sonata, the Avante is common in Korean rental and driving-school fleets, usually as the LPG version. The inspection report shows fuel type and usage history; we filter out fleet cars unless you want one for the lower price.
The CN7 Inspiration trim brings the 10.25-inch cluster and screen, the full SmartSense package and LED lighting, which is what Gulf buyers look for. On AD cars check the panel-replacement section: front bumpers and fenders are the common repairs.
Why it suits Gulf buyers
The Avante is one of the cheapest ways to get a late-model Korean compact sedan with high mileage still rare: many Korean owners drive under 15,000 km a year. It ships as a sedan-size car, so the calculator's freight rates apply directly.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a used Hyundai Avante in Korea?
Most Hyundai Avante cars in the Korean auction right now (80% of listings) are priced between $3,551 and $16,304, with a median of $8,552 — half cost $8,552 or less. These are auction prices in Korea before shipping and customs; the exact price depends on year, mileage and trim.
Is the Avante the same car as the Elantra?
Yes. Avante is its Korean-market name and Elantra the name buyers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf know it by — it is the same model. Korean-market equipment can differ from Gulf-spec cars, so check each car's specification in the inspection report and photos we send before you buy.
How much does it cost to import a Hyundai Avante from Korea to Saudi Arabia?
As an indicative example at our calculator rates for a sedan-size car (updated 2026-07), a Hyundai Avante at the median auction price of $8,552 comes to about $10,902 to Jeddah on the Red Sea or $10,702 to Dammam on the Arabian Gulf. That covers the car, Korean export fees, sea freight and our service commission; it excludes Saudi Arabia's customs duties, taxes and port clearance, which your customs broker handles on arrival. Enter any car's price in the import cost calculator, then we send you a final written quote on WhatsApp.
Calculate import costHow long does shipping a Hyundai Avante from Korea to Saudi Arabia take?
Sailing from Busan to Jeddah or Dammam takes about 25–35 days depending on the shipping line, plus 3–5 days for export de-registration and preparation in Korea and the clearance days at the arrival port. You can ship RoRo (cheaper and faster to load) or in a container (more protection).
Importing from Korea to Saudi Arabia: full guideDoes a Korean-market Hyundai Avante meet Saudi Arabia's import requirements?
That depends on the specific car and on the rules in force when you import: requirements such as vehicle age and specification differ by country and change over time. So before you pay, we confirm the current requirements for the exact car you choose, and we prepare the export certificate, commercial invoice, bill of lading and inspection report your customs broker uses to clear it on arrival.
Can I inspect a Hyundai Avante before buying?
Yes — we send the official inspection report and all photos, and an additional independent inspection can be arranged before payment.
Will an Avante register as an Elantra?
It is the same car with a different badge; the VIN identifies it as a Hyundai Elantra/Avante. We prepare the export documents with the VIN and model code, and confirm the current registration requirements of your country before you buy.
Which Avante engine should I pick for the Gulf?
The 1.6 MPI petrol: it matches the Gulf Elantra engine, parts are everywhere, and it is the most common private-owner version in Korea. Avoid LPG unless your country has LPG stations and you accept the lower resale value.
