The Kia Ray: a tall box on a light-car footprint
The Ray has been on sale in Korea since 2011, refreshed in 2017 and again in 2022. It is a light car (gyeongcha) under 1.0 litre with a tall, square body and a pillar-less passenger side with a sliding rear door, so it carries far more than its size suggests. It was never sold in the Gulf.
It uses a 1.0 three-cylinder petrol (earlier cars were also offered with LPG), with a Ray EV electric version. There is also a two-seat van version with a flat cargo floor, popular with small businesses.
What to check before you bid
Check the usage history and fuel type in the inspection report: van versions and some passenger Rays were business or delivery cars. Confirm from the listing whether it is the passenger car or the van, because the van has no rear seats.
