Rexton: SsangYong's body-on-frame SUV
The Rexton is the big SUV of KG Mobility, the company known until 2023 as SsangYong. The current generation launched in 2017 as the G4 Rexton, was facelifted in 2020 and refreshed again in 2023 under the KG Mobility name. Older generations (Rexton W, Super Rexton) have their own pages, as does the Rexton Sports pickup.
It is a body-on-frame SUV with a separate chassis, unusual for its class and well suited to rough roads and towing. Korean Rextons are almost all 2.2 diesel with an automatic gearbox; part-time 4WD is common.
What to check before you bid
Read the inspection report's underbody section: a ladder-frame SUV that has been used off-road or for towing shows it on the frame and suspension. Check the engine row for oil leaks and the driveline row for the 4WD system.
Confirm 2WD or 4WD and the trim: the top trims add the leather, the 12.3-inch cluster and the full driver-assistance set.
Fuel and shipping
